Our Story

Five years ago, a group of like-minded people arrived in Barcelona to look for a seaside apartment—and suddenly found themselves swept up in a whirlwind of NIE numbers, sworn translations, notaries, and bank requirements. That was the moment an idea was born: why not turn this paper storm into a gentle Mediterranean breeze?

That’s how Calma Casa began. We first helped a handful of friends make the same journey stress-free—from their very first viewing to the notary’s final signature. Once we saw how smoothly that “light breeze” worked, we incorporated the company, brought in immigration lawyers, and launched an all-in-one “property + residence permit” service: buying a home instantly opened the door to residency.

The next step was to widen the map. Beyond Barcelona’s urban streets we added Costa Brava villas, Penedès vineyards, and stone masías in the mountains. We launched a Digital Nomad Visa program for those trading a home-office Zoom background for a Mediterranean horizon, while our in-house design and post-sale team ensured clients received not just keys, but a finished interior, connected internet, and insurance already paid.

Today, Calma Casa’s portfolio includes 150-plus completed transactions, from lofts in El Born to beachfront houses. Eighty-four percent of new clients come by referral, because they know we answer messages even late at night—right when someone on the other side of the screen is making a life-changing decision.

And the story isn’t over yet.
